Adam Frudden is an associate attorney at Ratwik, Roszak & Maloney. Adam practices in the areas of school law, special education law, municipal law, labor and employment law, and litigation. He has represented clients in administrative proceedings and in state and federal courts. He has also served as an investigator for school districts, counties, cities, and the State of Minnesota. In addition, he has provided trainings for schools and is a published author on legal topics relevant to schools, counties, cities, and other municipal entities.
Before coming to Ratwik, Roszak & Maloney, Adam attended law school at the University of Minnesota. While in law school, Adam was a Managing Editor for the Minnesota Law Review. In addition, Adam clerked for an appellate litigation boutique that represented employees, as well as a non-profit. He also externed for the Honorable Donovan W. Frank at the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota and served as a student placement for the Public Employment Relations Board (“PERB”). As a student placement for PERB, Adam drafted the guidance still used by PERB on court decisions concerning unfair labor practices (https://mn.gov/perb/court-decisions/).
Prior to law school, Adam taught middle school mathematics and coached basketball in Detroit, Michigan. While teaching, Adam received a master of arts in teaching in secondary education. Adam’s prior experience working in education is invaluable to his legal practice.
Adam lives in Saint Paul with his wife, Katherine, and daughter, Olivia. In his free time, he enjoys attending concerts and spending time with his family and friends. Further, as a native Minnesotan and an avid football fan, he loves cheering on the Vikings.
